In 1954, US Marshal Edward "Teddy" Daniels, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, and his partner are sent to Shutter Island to investigate the sudden disappearance of a missing woman from Ashecliffe Hospital, a home for the criminally insane. However, on the island, they soon discover that all is not as it seems and a thick cloud of conspiracies begins to unravel.
